The prevalence of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (T2DM) is increasing all over the world and a major public health problem in India. Studies have been done on diabetes associated complications like, retinopathy, nephropathy, neuropathy etc, but there paucity research olfactory functions T2DM. : Assessment This was cross-sectional study 105 subjects; 35 T2DM patients ≤ 5 years disease duration > duration, controls. Ethical clearance obtained from Institute’s Ethics Committee, written informed consent subjects. by evoked potentials (OEP). showed that latencies OEP waves trend towards significance both with increased disease, higher HbA1c levels. can be interpreted as deviation normal pattern OEP, seen individuals. opens opportunities for further this field.
